Last week, I was off the grid. It was unintentional and highly coincidental that the day we arrived at the Mama Kevin convent of the Little Sisters in Same, my data plan ran out. Perhaps it was a sign from God that this was a unique opportunity to practice being present.

Our Day Off, Their Way of Life7/7/19
Yesterday we drove to the third city on our partnership roadtrip, Morogoro. Because we arrived on Saturday and did not have our first scheduled partner meeting until Monday, we knew we would have Sunday off.

A Far Away Village With a Lot to Share7/5/19
Today I visited one of the most rural villages I have ever been to. The only other place that felt similar to me was the small fishing village, Qoornoq, I visited in Greenland on my study abroad program.
